The international workshop on communicating climate is designed to help broadcast meteorologists around the world to use the outcome of the IPCC’s Fifth Assessment Report (AR5) to inform news reports on weather and climate. The first session on Wednesday 02 April will focus on the contribution of Working Group I to the AR5. The workshop is preceded by the Professionals Programme of the 11th annual International Weather and Climate Forum (Météo et Climat). IPCC Working Group I Vice-Chair Jean Jouzel is President of Météo et Climat. The workshop is jointly organised by the World Meteorological Organization, the IPCC and Météo et Climat, and is kindly co-sponsored by the government of Denmark and the United Nations Foundation.
